Jacksonville, FL (October 29, 2007) – As one of several restaurants that took
part in Downtown Vision’s “Eat Up Downtown” event in September, Plaza III, The Steakhouse had an overwhelming
response to the pre-fixed meal pricing for the one-week event.
As the restaurant
began to update its menu items, it decided to make “Prix Fixe” a part of its new menu being introduced on Monday,
November 5.
“We kept our most popular items, our Filet Mignon, Kansas City
Strip Steak, other steak, lamb and seafood dishes, while adding four all-inclusive Pre Fixe entrees,” said Chef Mike
Silverman. “We also added a modification area to our menu so our guests can create an entrée the
way they would like it to be. In addition, we have lowered many of our prices without affecting portion sizes to increase
the value of our product to our customers.”
The Prix Fixe Menu includes
a choice of salad or soup, entrée and dessert for $35. Entrée choices include a Filet Mignon Filet, Prime
Rib, Grilled Chicken Florentine, and Cajun Seared Tuna.
Locally owned and
operated by restaurant entrepreneurs J. Bard and Linda McLean, Plaza III, The Steakhouse is located at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront
Hotel and is listed among the area’s top 10 restaurants by www.thebestestaurants.com. Plaza III originated in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963 and the Jacksonville location is one of
only five in the United States. Plaza III has been recognized as a “Top Ten of America’s Steakhouses”
by Zagats, and has received the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence.”
Plaza III opens at 11:30 a.m. on weekdays, serving lunch and dinner and featuring happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m.
Plaza III opens at 4:30 for dinner only on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant offers regular seating, and private
