III Steakhouse Adds New Menu Items, Introduces Special Theatre Menu
Jacksonville, FL (September 12, 2006) Plaza III, The Steakhouse is introducing
some new items to its lunch and dinner menu this week - featuring new lunch items created in conjunction with WOKV Sports
Director Cole Pepper including Black Jack Barbeque Sauce on a grilled chicken sandwich, the Black Jack Hamburger and the Black
Jack Shrimp Brochette.
"I'm from Kansas City, and I loved
the original Plaza III there, so it was fun to work with my favorite home-town restaurant and introduce my sauce to Plaza
III's growing clientele here in Jacksonville," Pepper said.
Plaza
III Owner Bard McLean says the dinner menu has also been fine-tuned. McLean worked with Chef Mike Silverman, who created
some delicious new seafood and steak items for dinner, including:
- Lobster Crab
Cakes with a tomato basil cream sauce
- Lump Martini Crab Cocktail
- Oysters Rockefeller
- Cowboy Ribeye - a two-pound steak
sure to satisfy any steak lover
- Steak Au Poivre - a pepper-crusted steak finished
in a Brandy Diable sauce
- Tenderloin Oscar - 2 medallion filets with choice of
crab or shrimp with Asparagus, Diable, and Béarnaise
- A Quarter Wedge
Salad with grape tomatoes, blue cheese, mushrooms and a dressing base
"We
made some changes to bring our regular lunch customers something new and the new dinner items were created in response to
many of their suggestions for our menu," McLean said.
Plaza III is
also introducing a Symphony/Theatre Menu in partnership with the Jacksonville Performing Arts Center and Florida Theatre.
The special menu is available on evenings for all shows at the Performing Arts Center and major shows at the Florida Theatre.
For $49.95, customers get a choice from four entrees, one side item, garden salad, cheesecake and a beverage.
"Our location at the Hyatt Riverfront Hotel makes it easy for theatre and symphony patrons
to valet or park at the hotel garage, have a great meal and take an easy walk to either venue," McLean said.
The Plaza III Steakhouse is listed among the area's top 10 restaurants by Restaurants.com.
Locally owned and operated, Plaza III originated in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963. Privately owned and operated, the
Jacksonville location is one of only five in the United States. Plaza III has been recognized as a "Top Ten of
America's Steakhouses" by Zagats, and has received the Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence."
The restaurant opens at 11:30 for lunch each weekday and opens at 4:30 on Saturdays and Sundays,
opening earlier during downtown events on weekends. For reservations, contact 904-598-0234
