Pre-fixed Menu Items Come Out November 5
As one of several restaurants that took part in Downtown Vision's
"Eat Up Downtown" event in September, we had an overwhelming response to the pre-fixed meal pricing for the one-week event.
So when we began to update our menu items, we decided to make "Prix-Fixé" part of our new menu that's introduced next Monday, November 5.
"We kept our most popular items, our Filet Mignon, Kansas City Strip Steak, other steak, lamb and seafood dishes,
while adding four all-inclusive Prix-Fixé entrees," said Chef Mike Silverman. "We also added a modification area to our menu so guests can create an entrée the way they would like it
to be. In addition, we have lowered many of our prices without affecting portion
sizes to increase the value of our product to our customers."
The Prix-Fixé Menu is priced at $35. It includes a choice of appetizer
(Seafood Bisque, Garden Salad or Caesar Salad), an entrée (Filet Mignon Filet, Prime Rib, Grilled Chicken Florentine, or Cajun
Seared Tuna - each with a side item) and Dessert (Crème Brule or Cheesecake).
While we kept our most popular items, like our signature Steak Soup appetizer, Kansas
City Strip, Porterhouse, and Cowboy Ribeye, we've also added a Shellfish Sampler - featuring Lobster Cakes, Sauteed Shrimp,
Shrimp Cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller.

The Talk Master comes to Plaza III
Syndicated talk show host Neal Boortz will broadcast live from Plaza III on Friday,
November 9th - and we'll be hosting his Power Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

III Gets In the Movies...

McLean met Dennis Leary and several other actors during the filming of Recount 2000 at Plaza III in October.
We were honored when HBO Productions contacted Plaza III about renting out the restaurant for a day to film
the movie "Recount 2000," starring Kevin Spacey, Dennis Leary and directed by Syndey Pollock.
On Thursday, October 18, filming took place in earnest inside the restaurant - and
many of our employees got to take part as extras.
Many of the actors are spending time at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel, and at
Plaza III, so we're a great place to celebrity-watch throughout the month of November.
Be looking for Plaza III, and other locations throughout our city, when the film airs
on HBO - which is expected in mid-2008.

Plaza III airs its first television commercial on Comcast Cable in November.

The Martini Club celebrates the holidays at the Plaza III Lounge on Wednesday, November 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.

ART WALK
Plaza III, The Steakhouse has joined many other
downtown restaurants and venues to support the monthly Downtown Vision Art Walk -- which occurs the first Wednesday
of every month. Come by and take advantage of our great happy hour prices, music and look over all the prints
of early Jacksonville that adorn our walls throughout the restaurant. Or just stop by and relax on our outdoor patio.

Plaza III Steak Soup
(Our signature appetizer that's worth the trip alone!)
1 Stick Margarine
¾ Cup Flour
¼ Cup Carrots, Diced
¼ Cup Onions, Diced
¼ Cup Celery, Diced
½ Cup Tomatoes, Crushed
½ Lb. Ground Chuck
1 Tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
1 Qt. Plus 1 Cup Water
1 Tbsp. Beef Base
¼ Tsp. Black Pepper, Ground
5 Oz. Frozen Mixed Vegetables
Method - Brown and
drain ground chuck. Melt margarine in a 2 qt. pan and add flour. Mix well. Add water, stir until thickened.
Add pepper, beef base and tomatoes. Cook one minute more, stirring constantly. Add Kitchen Bouquet, all other
vegetables and ground chuck. Cook on medium heat 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Yield: 2 qts. (Soup
may be frozen for use later)
